SAN DIEGO eWolf Electric Tug Boat

In Spring 2024, the Watts Marine team provided design and engineering support, along with a cable positioning device, for the eWolf, the first fully electric tugboat in the United States, developed by Crowley Maritime Corporation. Designed to operate with zero emissions, this groundbreaking vessel represents a major advancement in maritime sustainability.

ALABAMA Gees Bend Ferry

In 2019, the ferry was converted from diesel to electric propulsion, the first of its kind in North America. Watts Marine designed a custom shore power system to enable the ferry to recharge while docked. The electrification of this vessel marks a significant milestone, resulting in lower operating costs, reduced noise, and reduced emissions.
