SAN DIEGO eWolf Electric Tug Boat

In Spring 2024 the Watts Marine team provided design and engineering support and the cable positioning device for the the eWolf, which is the first fully electric tugboat in the United States, developed by Crowley Maritime Corporation. This innovative vessel is designed to operate with zero emissions, making it a significant step towards sustainability in the maritime industry.
ALABAMA Gees Bend Ferry

In 2019, the ferry was converted from diesel to electric propulsion and with the help of a Watts Marine shore power system it is able to recharge. The electrification of the Gee’s Bend means lower operating costs, reduced noise, and reduced emissions and pollution. As a first-of-its-kind vessel in North America this is a big milestone.
